Beautiful and minimalist electric piano from Donner
88 semi-weighted keys
Includes sustain, damper, and sostenuto pedals
Built-in speakers
The DDP-60 is an electric piano that fits into most homes. It takes up almost no space, has a beautiful oak wood appearance, and only requires a power outlet, as it comes with a built-in amplifier and speakers.
It features 88 semi-weighted, touch-sensitive keys, making it especially suitable for beginner pianists as well as experienced pianists who don't want a full-weighted keyboard like an acoustic piano.
The DDP-60 allows you to choose from a wide variety of great piano sounds, among the 128 built-in sounds. Additionally, there are 83 different rhythms you can play along with and 47 different songs you can learn. The DDP-60 also has several great and practical features that make practicing an even more enjoyable experience.
Unlike an acoustic piano, you can adjust the volume of the DDP-60, and if you want to play in peace or not disturb others, you can connect headphones so that the DDP-60 is completely silent to everyone except you. And if you want to make a lot of noise, the DDP-60 also has a stereo output that you can connect to a PA system.
The Keyboard
Donner has used a comfortable and easy-to-play semi-weighted keyboard on the DDP-60. Semi-weighted means that it offers slightly more resistance than a keyboard or organ but not as much as on an old-fashioned acoustic piano. This makes it easier and more comfortable for a beginner pianist to play, but you still have the option to play both softly and loudly depending on how hard you press the keys.
Built-in sounds and effects
The sound module in the DDP-60 offers you 128 beautiful sounds. Naturally, there are several standard piano sounds, but also a variety of other instruments. You won’t lack options for varying your play in terms of sounds.
The DDP-60 can sound like an old-school acoustic piano or impressive concert grand pianos, but there are also several varieties of warm and rich electric piano sounds. You can also make the DDP-60 sound like a massive, grand church organ or an aggressive, snarling Hammond organ. The possibilities are truly vast.
The sound module has a polyphony of 128, so you’ll never run out of notes, even if you use the included pedals during complex piano pieces. Additionally, you can add beautiful reverb effects to all of the 128 built-in sounds.
Built-in rhythms and songs
The DDP-60 has 47 different well-known songs you can play along with, and 83 different rhythms in various styles that you can use as accompaniment to your playing. This way, you can sound like a full orchestra, even if you’re just starting to play piano. The accompaniment function ensures that the entire orchestra follows your chord or note changes, so you can control the orchestra with your left hand while your right hand plays the melody. You can also ask the DDP-60 to create intros and endings for each rhythm.
Practical practice features
The DDP-60 also has several useful features for practicing. Among them is a teaching function that helps you learn to play the built-in songs, and there is a built-in metronome to help you practice tempo and precision. There is also a split function that divides the keyboard into two parts so that your teacher can play on one half while you play on the other. This feature is also really fun if you want to play duets with a good friend.
